Installation Questions

Do you offer professional installation services?

To offer you the best factory-direct prices, we focus strictly on manufacturing. We do not have teams that go out and install signs.
However, we make it incredibly easy for you.
Every sign we ship is designed to be “Installation-Ready.” We provide full-scale paper mounting templates, wiring diagrams, and all the necessary hardware. Most of our clients simply hire a local handyman or electrician to finish the job, saving thousands compared to hiring a specialized sign company.

How hard is it to install the sign myself?

If you can hang a heavy picture frame or use a drill, you can likely install our signs.
· For smaller signs: It’s a fun DIY project.
· For large exterior channel letters: We recommend hiring a local licensed electrician or a handyman with a ladder/lift.
The secret weapon? Our 1:1 Paper Mounting Pattern. It acts like a map that you tape to the wall, showing you exactly where to drill every hole. No guesswork required.

How do I know where to drill the holes? (Mounting Patterns)

We don’t let you guess. Every order involving individual letters comes with a Paper Mounting Pattern. This is a full-size sheet of paper with the outline of your sign and specific markings for stud holes and wire holes.
The Process:
· Tape the paper pattern to your wall.
· Drill through the marked dots on the paper.
· Remove the paper and insert your sign. It’s that simple.

I’m not an electrician. How do I connect the lights?

Our LED signs come with high-quality, UL-certified Mean Well power supplies (transformers).
· Plug-and-Play: For many smaller signs, we can provide a standard wall plug—just plug it into an outlet.
· Direct Wire: For exterior building signs, the wires will need to be connected to your building’s main power. We provide a clear color-coded wiring diagram, but for this step, we strongly recommend hiring a licensed electrician to ensure safety and code compliance.

My wall is brick/stone/wood. Will the sign attach securely?

Yes, but we need to know your wall type before we manufacture.
Wood/Drywall: Standard screws or studs work great.
Brick/Concrete/Stone: We will provide tougher expansion bolts or threaded studs tailored for masonry.
Glass: We can provide strong double-sided tape or hanging kits.
Just let your Project Manager know your installation surface, and we will pack the correct hardware kit for you.

What is a “Raceway” mount? Do I need it?

Great question.
· Flush Mount: Individual letters are mounted directly to the wall. It looks cleaner but requires drilling more holes (one for each letter’s wire).
· Raceway Mount: All letters are pre-mounted onto a long metal box (the raceway) in our factory. The wiring is hidden inside the box.
Why choose Raceway? It makes installation 10x faster. You only need to drill a few holes to mount the whole box, rather than drilling 50 holes for individual letters. Many landlords also require this to minimize damage to the building.

What tools will I need to have ready?

While every project varies, here is a basic checklist for a smooth installation:
· Drill & Drill Bits: (Masonry bits if installing on brick/stone).
· Level: To make sure your sign isn’t crooked!
· Tape Measure & Masking Tape: To position the paper pattern.
· Screwdriver & Wire Strippers: For electrical connections.
· Ladder or Lift: Depending on how high your sign is going.
· Silicone: To seal the drill holes and make them watertight.
